See You In September
Hey Friends,
It's not September yet. It feels like it though. People are getting ready for school. Some are returning back to work in earnest after some holidays. In the midst of all this I hope you are looking forward to the long weekend.
This upcoming Sunday we are still in August. We are continuing in our reading of Habakkuk and looking at how we worship in times of waiting.
On the Sunday of Sept. 7, I hope people can stick around after the service. We have a simple picnic lunch served in the courtyard. The children from the Sunday School will also come by for hotdogs. On the following Sunday, Sept. 14, we will have a lunch after Sunday Class and Choir practice. That will be in the church basement.
At both times we will introduce our fellowship groups and September events. This will be a great time to find out what's going on. Things do change and you may find this is a great time to join in.
An Alpha Course is starting soon at St. George Grange Park.
SGGP is on the south side of Grange Park: 30 Stephanie St.; a 5 min walk from TCBC. If you know anyone who wouldn’t typically go to church, wouldn't call themselves Christians but have questions about purpose, meaning and what life is about invite them to Alpha.
Alpha is designed to be a space for people who are open-minded and curious. You are welcome to bring your friend, co-worker or neighbour to Alpha.
Alpha runs on Wednesday for 10 weeks from 6:30pm to 8:30pm and includes a dinner, film and discussion. Here is the link:
