What Are You Doing This Sunday?

Hey Friends,

We are having our very own tailgate party after Sunday service.

Okay, there is no vehicles and ball game. Still, this is a new season of ministry so why not copy the tradition.

Tailgating means eating outdoors with jackets on. We are aiming to fix up foods like hot dogs, chili, hamburgers, and chicken wings with complementary sides like salads and sliced fruit. We feed the Children's Sunday School first and then get the food ready for ourselves.

So here's the plan: We will have our prayer room open after service and we will have coffee out in the usual place. Coffee time is a space where we find someone new to talk to and/or reconnect with someone we haven't seen for a while. At 11:30 members go respectively to their choir practice or our Sunday Class.

Those not in choir or class can help set up outside during this time and fire up the BBQ to serve the Children's Sunday School. We will cooking them hot dogs, encourage them to eat some veggies and fruit and passing out ice cream for dessert. Once the children have finished and have returned to their classrooms, we start cooking more foods like burgers & wings for our main meal. After choir, members come to join in. After Sunday class, students come to join in. It's all open; It's all free—a friendly get together just like a traditional tailgate.

New season means introductions and we will have time for ministry leaders to give brief intros about their groups and ministries. This is so important because this is how we learn to appreciate those who make our community happen. It may also be a time to join in a group or ministry.

Hope we can all join in this Sunday.

In Christ,

Rev. Nolan
