Prayer Is The Key To Life In Christ
Hey Friends,
This is a good prompt for the question that’s been buzzing in my head lately: is life just about reacting? All this week we have been reacting to the huge amount of rain we received. At the church our VBS crew was running a weeklong day camp for children and, like any high intensity job, they were constantly adapting to the demands of running a camp. We react to changing circumstances in our family, on the job, in our close relationships and in our own person condition. Is life just about reacting?
Our summer series on prayer: “The Prayers of Jesus” challenges all that. Jesus did adjusted his day to allow for teaching moments and to heal people who reached out to him. However, like a flowing stream, the Holy Spirit guiding him towards fulfilling his purpose and rejoining the fullness of the Triune communion: Father, Son and Spirit. In prayer we will see and experience God’s justice, forgiveness, provision, and guidance. Jesus himself gives us his example, his command and his instruction on how to seek and to reach the fullness of life in Jesus.
On the active front, just a reminder that on this Sunday:
Volleyball starts this Sunday. It’s 2pm to 4pm at CPC gym.
There is a used shoe drive for Africa. If you have good shoes that you are no longer using but are taking up space in your closet you can bring them to Wuxi Church (56 Bond St) for the next two Sundays July 21 to July 28, 11am to 3pm
Blessings,
Pastor Nolan
