"So Now Go, I Am Sending You"

But Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to Pharoah and all the streets are blocked off because of the marathon?”

Actually, the streets are not ALL blocked off. The Sporting Life 10K runs down Yonge Street from Davisville downwards and across Lakeshore. This effectively cuts West side and East side of the city core. You may either come down Allan Expressway or Avenue Road from the North or come up Spadina Rd off of the Gardiner Expressway form the South. From my experience last week with the Toronto Marathon, you will find driving has some congestion that is atypical for a Sunday morning.

What we have waiting for you this Sunday (May 12) will be a special Missions presentation from Engineering Ministries International. Often our jobs and the success we have in our careers opens the door for us to visit and work in parts of the world in ways that many others cannot. If we don’t have the call to go out ourselves, we can support others with the skills and flexibility. The key though is to open ourselves to God’s calling and to the heart of Jesus for people.

EMI will follow up the Sunday message with a time of sharing in our Sunday class. You will hear real life examples of projects underway and the transformation of communities.
