It's Thanksgiving Month!
Hello TCBC English congregation,
We’ve already had our turkey! Thanks to Paula & Jeff Hiltz we served roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and gravy to our friends at Matthew House. Our Friday Night Men’s Group also helped prepare alternative foods including vegetarian samosas, BBQ shrimp, bean and bell pepper salad, and a Caesar salad. Here’s a challenge then: get some buddies together, plan a meal (vegetarian, traditional, ethnic, whatever) and make it a point to invite some new friends. (Ask around: maybe somebody has an extra turkey sitting in their freezer!)
Friday Night, Oct. 4 we have the presentation: “What is ‘good development’ and how do we as the Church do it with excellence?”
The content, including work and practices of Engineering Ministries International specializing in design and construction, will be given by Greg Young.
If you’ve lived/worked overseas or wish at some point to contribute to the development of health and social centres overseas, you are especially invited to bring your voice and questions to this discussion.
Presentation begins at 7:30pm in the TCBC main building. Come to the first-floor fellowship room, if it gets too crowded, we will move up to the 2nd floor.
If you are interested in joining the TCBC Women's Bible/topical study group this Fall term. Here is an invitation:
