As We Head Into August
Hey Friends,
I’ve flown out and have flown back. Thank you for your prayers. I returned safe and sound earlier on this week. It was a wonderful experience visiting Hong Kong again after 6 years. Lots of highlights and lots of jet lag!
August has us getting ready for activities and Sunday Classes will resume in September.
We hope you can join in some of them.
Aug 14th – 18th is our Childrens VBS camp week
Please pray for us during the week. Those who are available Friday afternoon of Aug. 18 from 3:30 pm to 4:30pm, you are invited to watch the VBS closing concert. No need to register. Just come in and watch in our main sanctuary.
Aug 19th & 20th is the Chinatown Festival Weekend
TCBC will once again have a booth at Chinatown Festival this year. We participate in this event as the church is part of this community.
English Ministry has committed to help on Sunday, August 20th between 11am to 1:30pm. Please email Jasmine <jasmine.ivan@gmail.com> if you are interested in helping in the following area:
11am to 12pm - Moving chairs, tables, banners, and boxes of print material from church to the booth and helping with set-up
12pm to 1:30pm - Engage people walking by the booth. There are 5 activities planned that require volunteers (Pine Cone Art, Five Colour Beads Crafts, Japanese Pastel Craft, Distributing print material, Evangelism). For those interested in helping out with Japanese Pastel Craft, there is a mandatory workshop happening Sunday, August 6th after Cantonese service
(note: if you want to drop in other times during Saturday and Sunday afternoon, please do!)
August 25-27 is our Congregation Retreat (Deadline to register is Aug. 11!)
Arrival Time - Friday after dinner (late night snacks provided)
Departure - Sunday after brunch

Cost:
Individual $150 per adult, $100 per youth
Family $250 for 1 adult with their children (under 18) and/or senior parents (over 65)
$350 for 2 adults with their children (under 18) and/or senior parents (over 65)
