October 5 – Thanksgiving Weekend
Hello Friends,
We are looking forward to a beautiful crisp thanksgiving weekend. For past generations, the change of seasons marks a change of routine, habits and rituals. We put away the summer clothes, finish off those things we promised to do and put away the summer gear. Whether we work from home or outside the home, we want to be proactive and prepare for what is mostly an indoor season.
Among the changes in routine, I’d like you to consider joining a bible study or a connect group. It’s a step that needs some consideration. You will meet some new people, you will have to commit some time to get the most out of it, and you will have to forsake some self-dependence as you wrestle through life’s questions and share a bit of yourself as you work through life with others. Regularly connecting with others to learn brings benefits though: friendships are formed, people give us encouragement and insight, you hear fun stories and learn about how others deal with many of the common struggles we all have; you pray together and support one another though it all. You can find contact information to our different connect groups in our summary page:
A great way to get started in connecting with others outside of Sunday worship is to come out to our English Ministry Family Fun Day.
