June – 2021 Sunday Worship Service Update

This week, the Province of Ontario announced that we will be moving to Step 2 in its “Roadmap to Reopen”.  While we welcome this good news, the leadership of TCBC has decided to remain closed and continue with the on-line Sunday Worship Services.  A committee has been formed to prepare for the church reopening which is not expected to happen until at least September, 2021.  Part of this is due to the church renovations which were delayed as part of the most recent stay at home order.

We continue to encourage everyone to make get fully vaccinated.

Please stay safe and continue to follow the health guidelines regarding the wearing of masks and social distancing.

TCBC’s Cantonese Pastor Arrives in June

In 2020 Pastor Jason Lai was called to be the Pastor for the TCBC Cantonese congregation.  Unfortunately Covid-19 delayed the issuing of his work permit to allow his relocation from Hong Kong to Toronto.

While waiting for the paperwork, Pastor Jason has been remotely assisting with the Cantonese and Mandarin ministry at TCBC and provided video messages for our online Worship Services.

We are happy to announce that he has finally been issued with a work permit and that he and his family will be arriving in Toronto this month.

They will be spending the first two weeks in mandatory quarantine after which members of the church will be helping the family to get settled.

Praise God for bringing us a new Pastor and we look forward to being able to welcome him and his family to TCBC
