Join In To Study God's Word

Hello Friends,

We’ve been spoiled in Toronto with next to no shovelling so far. Weather reports say that snow will come.

When the first big snow comes, I always wonder if we’ll see stores run out of shovels and/or salt. The Dollar stores are not ordering in more toques, gloves or winter clothing so they may be out for people needing emergency winter gear. It’s always best to be prepared.

Having a Christian fellowship or study group to attend is probably the best preparation against being overwhelmed by the storms in life. I’m glad to see that the number of TCBC members committed to regularly attending a group outside of the main worship is growing. We now have the Bereans Fellowship, Friday Night Men’s Group, Woman’s Group, Barnabas Fellowship (for teens), a Young Adult Men’s group and our Sunday Bible Class. This is where we can make connections with others in the church family and from there pray and support one another.

For those who find it hard to attend an in-person class or groups, I am leading the Freedom in Christ course over Zoom. Based on people interested in attending, we’ve narrowed it down to either Tuesday or Thursday nights starting at 7:30pm. Please let me know if you are interested by replying to this e-mail so that I can get you the course materials before we start in the last week of January.

Please join us this Sunday as we finish Chapter 37 of Genesis and look at the difficulties Joseph had to endure in his family. No family is perfect. Jacob’s family though was over the top. What can we learn from their story?

In Christ,

Pastor Nolan
