This update comes earlier because the long weekend starts tomorrow. Whatever you have planned, enjoy the time with others and give thanks to the Lord. We are holding our Sunday service at the same time (10:00 AM) and the livestream will be carried on YouTube. What’s changing is where we will be: we will be at the back chapel of our main TCBC building. If you are planning to attend in person, please enter in the side doors and go immediately to your left.
We are a smaller group this weekend because many are travelling. Our teens and our youth group leaders will also be missing as they are away for the July Teens Camp. This will be a good time though to be in the presence of God and to observe the Holy Communion together as a community.
Our Children’s ministry is running smoothly at Chinese Presbyterian Church. If you have young ones coming with you, please take them to the Chinese Presbyterian Church where they will have a morning of Bible teaching, Crafts, Worship and Gym time. Check in begins at 9:45am so you have time to drop off your young ones and be at TCBC for worship.
For the past Sunday’s we have been looking at priesthood in Exodus
- the ideal priesthood: God calls on Israel to be a nation united in their identity as priests, worshippers, ministers and builders
- the imperfect priesthood: God’s offence at Israel’s worship of the Golden Calf as led by High Priest Aaron
- this Sunday: where do we go from here? Specifically the imperfect High Priest Aaron, where does he go from messing up his first worship service?
As a warm up: do you know anyone named Aaron? (I bet you do!)
Another change for the summer: we are starting up summer sports and are asking who’s interested in playing badminton, basketball, and/or volleyball. If that’s you, let us know. All ages and all player levels are welcome.
As always, we appreciate you joining us and following us. We hope our worship turns you towards the Lord’s gracious love and compassion. We also hope that you feel you are a cherished person in our Christian community.
