*** Boxing Day Service – Online Only ***
Hello Church Family,
I’m putting the finishing touches on our Christmas Eve Carol Service. This 1 hour on-line service has many of the traditional carols to sing to along with a short message. The video will be available Christmas Eve starting at 7:00 PM on YouTube.
The Cantonese and Mandarin congregations will be at TCBC on Friday night and their Christmas Eve Services will be livestreamed.
For this Sunday, we have a service prepared by Canadian Baptist Ministries, the national mission agency of Canadian Baptist churches. This Sunday’s theme is “Good News to the Poor” and the service will include a message of hope though a sermon from Dr. Elie Haddad, stories of hope from around the world, inspiring worship, and a greeting from Jennifer Lau, CBM’s Executive Director who has been our speaker in past on-line services.
Since this Sunday’s service (Dec. 26) is largely pre-recorded and out of an abundance of caution, we are asking that people stay at home to enjoy the service. Together with my livestream team, I will be there Sunday morning at 10am to greet you on camera. Your experience of the worship will be better and safer if you are watching at home with your family.
I’ll also let you know that on Tuesday night our church leadership will be meeting to assess the current pandemic condition and determine whether TCBC will need to temporarily suspend in-person attendance and provide live-stream only services.
Again, for this Sunday out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to go with on-line only.
I do hope to see you or visit with you soon. For now, have a safe and joyful Christmas.
Blessings,
Pastor Nolan
